New To The AMG Blog for 2010

New To The Asylum Music Group for 2010

First of all Happy New Year everyone. I have updated the appearance and features of this blog for the new year, so I thought I'd give a run down on what they all are.

You will notice that The Blue Devil has a new gadget titled 'The Latest TBD Download' which is where you will be able to see the latest song I have uploaded by TBD. Just click the image to go to the download page.

As well as this I have put in gadgets that allow you to quickly search the entire blog, scan the list of available downloads from the bands of the AMG and the logos of four of the five bands within the AMG Group.

Will may also notice that the contact information for The Asylum Music Group has been added. Feel free to email your thoughts or especially if you would like to become part of the Asylum Music Group and have your bands music advertised for free via this site.

Two New Songs by The M.E Project

Two new songs from The M.E. Project. These songs are improvisational, psychedelic influenced guitar solos that will feature in the upcoming album The Omega Scroll. Both songs were recorded on March 30th, 2009.

The Blue Devil Back Release

This post contains the link to the original version of The Blue Devil's Burnt Me To The Ground. The link is for the download of the improvisational song that started it all (well that one song, the first song fully completed by The Blue Devil).

To The Ground by Chris (guitar) and Matt (vocals) first recorded on the 22nd of August, 2009. It was then adapted for electric guitar and given a solid structure, it eventually became the song Burnt Me To The Ground.

The lyrics from Burnt Me To The Ground are based on the improvised vocals in this recording.

The Asylum Music Group - The Best of 2009

The Darkened Dawn was/is The Blue Devil's first properly recorded song. Completed exactly 2 months ago today, so I thought it fitting for a little anniversary to release it on Mediafire. Personally I find it the best file sharing site. So why not. Well to be honest the whole 2 month this is a coincidence, and I just noticed it now while writing.

Anway the Darkened Dawn is some of the best crushing riffs that we've put out. With influences from Black Sabbath to Meshuggah this thing is a headbanging masterpiece.

Oh and by the way - we're bringing back the finger tapping solo. Its not used enough anymore.
